From fake bank alerts to courier fraud, criminals are using increasingly convincing tactics to trick victims into handing over money or personal information.

Here are some of the scams currently circulating across the county and what to look out for.

Norfolk County Council tax letters

Letters claiming to be from Norfolk County Council say they concern changes to council tax payments.

The letters are scams. Norfolk County Council has no involvement in collecting council tax payments across Norfolk.

They include a QR code leading to a fraudulent website that attempts to take payments.

The advice is to ignore the letters and not scan the code.
