Drew Barrymore had a bit of a snafu when she phoned a famous ex, Luke Wilson, during a recent segment on her daytime talk show.

The Never Been Kissed star called her old boyfriend with her guest, Vince Gilligan, who is best known for writing Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul.

Vince also wrote the screenplay for Home Fries, which Drew and Luke both starred in.

When Drew originally went to call Luke during her live studio taping, he unfortunately didn’t pick up.

“This is not going the way I planned,” she remarked as her phone rang, sans Wilson answering. “But, what does in life, right?”

When the daytime talk show host was sent to voicemail, she gushed over her time with Luke.
