New Delhi: A clash broke out between supporters of former Uttar Pradesh Congress president Ajay Rai and state Congress women’s president Mamta Chaudhary at the party headquarters in Lucknow on Sunday. The confrontation reportedly involved sloganeering, a scuffle and shoes being thrown.

The incident took place during a programme marking the assumption of charge by newly appointed Uttar Pradesh Congress president Aradhana Mishra and working president Imran Masood.
