If your startup earns a reward on the stablecoins it holds, budget for that payment to stop on January 18, 2027. That’s the latest date the GENIUS Act, signed in July 2025, can take effect, and the law bars stablecoin issuers, the companies that create the coins, from paying holders to keep their coins.
