Son who attacked parents with bread knife spared jail
Joseph Edwards had been spoken to by his parents about some damage that had occurred in the kitchen before he turned on them.
Norwich Crown Court heard the 24-year-old "repeatedly punched" his father in the face "until he fell to the floor" before turning his attention to his mother.

Duncan O'Donnell, prosecuting, said Edwards also "repeatedly hit her in the head" before he "banged his mother's head against the sink multiple times".
Edwards then took a bread knife - with a long, serrated edge - from the kitchen and threatened them both while his father was "trying to fend off his son with a chair".
Mr O'Donnell said Edwards' mother, who had suffered a knife wound to her hand, ran to the front door and tried to get help from neighbours.
Edwards’ father, who continued trying to defend himself, was then stabbed in his left arm near the wrist. The court was told he suffered a 10cm wound through which muscle........
