Significant capital allocations in the defence sector will require appropriate investable windows to create alignment between government objectives and the needs of institutional investors, says Sebastien Betermier, executive director at the International Centre for Pension Management.

The research organization recently published a new paper on how governments can bring defence assets into the investable window of pension funds based on examples from European cases. The ICPM previously proposed the investable window concept in response to increased calls for pension funds around the globe to allocate more funds at home.
