60% of global employers say no change in anticipated, actual salary budgets: report
Roughly 60 per cent of global organizations say there’s no change between anticipated and actual salary budgets, according to a new report by WTW.
It found cost management pressures (32 per cent), a tighter labour market (28 per cent) and inflationary concerns (27 per cent) continue to drive employers’ cautious approach to salary planning. Salary increases remained relatively high by historic standards (the pre-coronavirus pandemic norm was three per cent) amid higher total labour expenses, which include salaries, bonuses, variable pay and benefits costs.
