Bodkin: United Way closes in on campaign goal but needs final push

The campaign is now at 96 per cent of the $1.5 million goal with $65,600 left to raise.

As the year comes to a close, United Way of Sarnia-Lambton is reflecting on a campaign marked by generosity, community spirit and strong participation – while also acknowledging that the fundraising goal has not yet been reached.

The campaign is at 96 per cent of the $1.5 million goal with $65,600 left to raise.

Throughout the year, residents, workplaces and volunteers stepped up to support the 28 local programs provided with United Way funds.  Programs that help people meet their basic needs, find stability and build stronger futures.

Programs help youth to be successful in school and make positive life choices.........
