Permira CEO says AI mega-IPOs are crowding out private equity exits

Brian Ruder said it is "really tricky" to attract investor attention ahead of blockbuster listings from Anthropic and OpenAI

Permira Co-Chief Executive Officer Brian Ruder said Wednesday that the coming wave of artificial intelligence mega-IPOs is making it harder for private equity firms to execute public market exits, as investor attention narrows around a handful of historic listings.

"It's really tricky to get the same level of attention when you're about to have a series of three IPOs" that are among the most consequential listings........
