National Highways has said this work will be carried out between Toftwood and Norwich.

Parts of the westbound carriageway will be closed between Fox Lane at North Tuddenham and the end of the dual carriageway overnight (8pm to 6am) from Tuesday, April 7, to Friday, April 10.

A signed diversion will reroute traffic via the A11, A134, and A1065 before rejoining the A47.

More eastbound closures are planned between the A1075 junction at Dereham and the end of the dual carriageway.

They will also take place overnight, from Monday, April 13, until Thursday, April 16.

Drivers will be diverted through the A1075, A11 and Thickthorn Interchange before rejoining the A47.

Finally, the A47 eastbound off-slip at Dereham will be closed from Friday, April 17, to Sunday, April 19, with traffic redirected through Norwich Road, Station Road and Yaxham Road.

Motorists are urged to check for updates, as planned closures may change at short notice.

They can find more information on the National Highways website.
