Trump’s Board of Peace, although accepted by many countries, has sparked severe criticism globally due to the controversial nature of its charter.

US Launches Controversial Board of Peace in Davos

The founding executive council is mostly comprised of pro-Israel and pro-Zionist American officials and personnel, including Jared Kushner, Trump’s son-in-law, and people like Tony Blair, who is globally known for his role in the deaths of thousands of Muslims in the Middle East. Meanwhile, this council lacks any representative from the Muslim nations. This effectively amounts to a colonial-style setup in which external actors and nations, primarily Israel and the United States, exercise control over Gaza. This sparked severe global criticism and is disapproved of by the Palestinian people. A second-level council, the Gaza Executive Board, was also established under this charter. However, this board also includes several members for the top tier of the Board of Peace.

Global Backlash and Questions of Legitimacy

Trump’s invitation to the heads of more than 50 countries, without inviting any Palestinian or Hamas representative, stirred controversy and caught global attention.
