Halesworth Town Council has issued a strongly worded statement criticising changes to First Bus' Charcoal line X41, 40, and 41 services, arguing the impact on students and businesses has been "totally ignored".

The service linking Norwich, Bungay, and Halesworth was subject to timetable changes at the end of August, with the daytime X41 service withdrawn and much of the route reduced to a single hourly bus.

In its statement, the council said it "strongly condemns the cancellations and adjustments" to services, particularly the loss of the daytime X41 between Halesworth and Norwich.
