MP calls for extra Suffolk rail services to 'unlock opportunity' on east coast
Jenny Riddell-Carpenter, who represents Suffolk Coastal, is seeking rail operators, government and local stakeholders to work together to provide extra services on the Ipswich to Lowestoft line.
Her ambition is for rail services to run every 30 minutes.

She believed a higher frequency timetable would better serve commuters, families, students and businesses across the district, adding that she had been told by constituents that they could not rely on the current service for every day travel or occasional use.
She said: “The Ipswich to Lowestoft line is a lifeline for so many of our coastal and market towns, but people tell me time and again how they can’t rely on it for everyday travel or even for occasional use.
“Better, more frequent services would make it easier for people to get to work, access education, support local businesses and stay connected.”........
