According to the plans, the equipment will be installed on the east and west sides of Wymondham Health Centre's main building.

Planners for Broadland District Council, who approved the plans, said the panels would be "acceptable", adding there would be "no harmful impact to the residents caused by glint or glare".

They said: "Those living near the property will be able to see the solar panels are generally fitted with anti-reflective coatings and the roof pitch means by reflections would be directed upward rather than toward neighbouring homes."

Wymondham Town Council also lent its support for the plans and no objections were made against the scheme.

The site includes two long, narrow buildings with gable-pitched roofs.

As part of the approval, planners also said the development must be completed within three years before the planning permission expires.
