Woman who helped run florist remembered as 'kind and caring soul'

Pat Radford died peacefully at her home on July 10 after a long period of ill health just after her 90th birthday.

She was born in June 1936 and was adopted at a young age after her parents moved to Great Yarmouth.

Her father was a baker and her mother started growing plants and selling them before they bought some land behind the First and Last Public House just north of Caister.

There they built a house and developed a nursery and within a short time were supplying plants to most of the hotels and guest houses in Great Yarmouth and the surrounding area.

They also supplied flowers for weddings and funerals and opened shops in King Street and Northgate Street.

The family worked........
