Council says bins being emptied 'as usual' despite strike over pay
Fifty-six workers from Great Yarmouth Services (GYS), the council-owned environmental company in Great Yarmouth, began industrial action today in a dispute over pay, representing 32pc of the workforce.
Despite the strike, the council says all five of its regular waste collection rounds are operating and litter bins are still being emptied.
