In two separate interviews packaged together, Lionel Barber, former Editor, Financial Times, and Navtej Sarna, former Ambassador to USA and Israel and former High Commissioner to United Kingdom, both of whom know a great deal and understand the situation, spoke to Karan Thapar for The Wire hours after a joint attack on Iran by Israel and the United States.

Both of them believe that the object and intention of the joint American-Israeli attack is regime change. They also agree that this is a high-risk gamble.

In addition, Sarna is also questioned about the timing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Israel and whether it will look as if this was an attempt to endorse Israel’s action against Iran and how this visit will be viewed by the rest of the world.
