Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) on Monday said Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio), who is facing calls to step down over allegations of abusing his ex-wife Emily Moreno, should not be serving in the House.

“First off, he shouldn’t be in office, right?” Scott told MeidasTouch’s Pablo Manríquez in a brief interview. “And everybody should be held accountable.”

Scott would not say whether Miller should resign, suggesting to Manríquez that the “best thing is the public’s going to take them out of office.” Asked specifically about the accusations toward Miller by his former wife, the daughter of Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), the Florida Republican said the lawmaker “ought to be very transparent” and “let the voters make a decision.”

Several GOP senators have rallied together in calling for Miller’s resignation. Manríquez similarly asked Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.),........
