Leaders of the Democratic Women’s Caucus (DWC) on Wednesday called on Rep. Max Miller (R-Ohio) to resign, as the House Ethics Committee probes abuse allegations levied against him by his ex-wife.
DWC Chair Teresa Leger Fernández (N.M.) and Vice Chairs Hillary Scholten (Mich.) and Emilia Sykes (Ohio) called the alleged abuse Miller perpetrated against Emily Moreno, his ex-wife, and 2-year-old daughter “horrifying,” adding it “now warrants immediate action by Congress.”
The caucus leaders added, “Due to the growing evidence and clear lack of remorse, we are calling on Rep. Miller to resign immediately.”
Moreno, the daughter of Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio), has accused the lawmaker of throwing hot water at her, pointing a gun at her head and breaking their daughter’s collarbone. The........
