Walmart is slashing about 1,000 corporate technology jobs in an AI consolidation push

The retail giant is eliminating or relocating roles after combining its global technology platforms across Walmart, Sam's Club, and international markets

Walmart $WMT is cutting or relocating about 1,000 corporate jobs in its technology and product divisions as the retail giant consolidates operations following a move to a unified global platform.

The changes were announced in a Tuesday memo co-authored by Suresh Kumar, Walmart's global CTO, and Daniel Danker, the company's EVP overseeing AI acceleration, product, and design.
