Vijay’s UK visit under fire: AIADMK slams CM over MoU signed with ‘Noida-based’ firm

AIADMK has questioned Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay’s London visit to attract investment, pointing to the involvement of a Noida-based company. The criticism comes after Vijay highlighted an Rs 11,000 crore MoU expected to create 7,000 jobs.

New Delhi: The AIADMK has criticised Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay over his visit to London, questioning whether the overseas trip was necessary to attract investment into the state.

AIADMK spokesperson Kovai Sathyan pointed to the involvement of a company that was established in India in 1986 and has its headquarters in Noida. He questioned why Vijay had to travel to the UK at taxpayers’ expense for the investment exercise.

“A company established in India on 1986 , HQ Noida @actorvijay travels all the way to UK at tax payers money to attract investment,” Sathyan said in a post on X.
