MP High Court dismisses appeal against demolition of portion of Ujjain Shahi Masjid

New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh High Court on Monday dismissed an appeal challenging the removal of a portion of Ujjain’s Shahi Masjid as part of a road-widening project ahead of the 2028 Simhastha Kumbh.

The court took note of the settlement reached between the mosque administration and the Ujjain Municipal Corporation. It also made it clear that the assurances given by the civic body in its reply and notices would remain binding........
