‘Fix 5G or stay’: UP villagers allegedly tie Telecom technician to mobile tower

A telecom technician was allegedly tied to a mobile tower by villagers in Uttar Pradesh's Fatehpur over prolonged 5G network problems.

New Delhi: A telecom technician was allegedly tied to a mobile tower by villagers in Uttar Pradesh’s Fatehpur district after residents accused the network company of failing to fix prolonged 5G connectivity problems. Police have arrested six people in connection with the incident.

The incident reportedly took place on Thursday in Hardauli village in the Bindki area. The technician, identified as Aditya Bhan Singh, had visited the village to attend to a mobile network complaint when some residents allegedly detained him and tied him to the tower.
