The Issue: An aide to AG Letitia James allegedly ordering staff to target people linked to Donald Trump.

It seems New York Attorney General Letitia James crossed the line in going after President Trump (“Sue-per biased AG aide,” Sept. 1).

I find it amusing that the terms employed to describe James and other Democrats’ witch hunts against Trump are “lawfare” and “weaponization.” I believe the word for this type of conduct is actually persecution.

Some 250 years ago, fear of this sort of oppression led our forebears to cross an ocean at great risk to form a great nation founded on freedom, liberty and justice for all.

James’ abuse of power, dereliction of duty and malfeasance in use of taxpayer funds doesn’t surprise me. When she said Trump was too male and too pale years ago, it proved she wasn’t fit to serve in office.

Her anti-male and anti-white statements should have precluded her from seeking office.
