We asked the people sharing conspiracy theories in Sefton Park for a chat but it didn't go well
From calling climate change a hoax to warning about chemtrails in the sky, the group has a range of messages on display

Many of us are a fan of a stroll through the majesty of Sefton Park. The sprawling south Liverpool green space is a thing of wonder and attracts thousands of people every weekend.
If you have been visiting the park on a Sunday morning in recent times, you may have come across a group of people who stand next to the Eros Fountain, opposite the Oasis in the Park café and hold up a variety of signs with a curious range of messages emblazoned on them.
Last Sunday, as the ECHO visited the park, the group were out in force, with many of these messages on display through placards and banners draped across fences and tables - with loud music blaring out to boot.
So what are the messages being displayed by the group and who are the people behind them?
It is fair to say that a number of the signs were displaying what many of us would regard as conspiracy theories. For example, one of the signs simply stated: "Climate crisis is a hoax."
Now at risk of being labelled a classic member of the Mainstream Media, I can safely report that the climate crisis is very much real and not a hoax.
