I’m sure the tech bros will come for me, but I’m not afraid to say that I’ve been an Apple purist for as long as I can remember.

Over the last decade, I’ve tried several kinds of headphones, but I’ve always made my way back to my tried and true AirPods.

It takes a lot to convince me to switch loyalty. But when I heard the buzz around Nothing headphones, I knew I was going to have to try them out.

The brand launched its debut over-ear headphones, Headphone (1) last year for £249, in just two colours: white and black.

I’ll be honest, what really swayed me to take the plunge this time around was the fact that the latest edition, Headphone (a), comes in a pink colourway Call me fickle.

Don’t worry, though, if that’s not your thing (sigh), they also come in yellow, black, and white.

The lower price tag attached to these headphones, which go for just £149, was also a huge draw.

Considering they don’t look dissimilar to other popular over-ear headphones on the market, and offer essentially the same features, that’s a fraction of the price.

The question was whether they would match up to the hype.
