The Met Office is warning of “wet and windy” conditions sweeping across the east of England from Friday into the weekend, so it is worth keeping a sturdy umbrella handy.

But it is not all going to be rainclouds.

By Sunday, things are expected to turn “drier, brighter and windy,” with cooler air making those Easter walks feel all the more refreshing.

Inland, temperatures will climb to around 14C on Friday, 15C on Saturday, dipping to 11C on Sunday before bouncing back to 14C on Monday.

Coastal spots will be slightly cooler, peaking at 13C on Friday, 15C on Saturday, 11C on Sunday and 12C on Monday.

Winds could get blustery too, with gusts of up to 38mph on Saturday before calming down to around 28mph by Monday.
