Star ends up in A&E during Easter trip to Norfolk... and defends under-fire hospital
Michelle Collins, best known for playing Cindy Beale in EastEnders, tripped over her dog Peggy, "bashed" her knee and was left with "cuts and bruises" on her leg.
She went to A&E at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in King's Lynn, which has been rated the worst performing hospital in the country.

In a post shared to her 168,000 Instagram followers she called the staff "great", "efficient" and "kind", and said she "never would have known" how far down the hospital league table it was, based on the service she received.

"Seems so unfair to label a hospital like this," she wrote.
"Not great for morale, as one of the lovely nurses said.

"Sitting down scenes this week! @bbceastenders."
Some of her co-stars sent her well-wishes in the comments.
Balvinder Sopal, who plays Suki Panesar and also featured in the last series of Strictly Come Dancing, said: "Oh love!"

Harriet Thorpe, who portrays Elaine Peacock, added: "OMG darling so sorry, sending all love."
In the same weekend, the 63-year-old - who also spent several years behind the bar in the Rovers Return as Stella Price in Coronation Street - said that she had scattered the ashes of her dog, Humphrey, on Old Hunstanton beach during her stay.

"He used to love it here, so we've come back with Peggy to stay with friends," she wrote.
"Been coming here for years."
In September 2025, the QEH was ranked as the worst-performing in the country.
The table, published by the government, analysed factors such as A&E waiting times, surgery waiting lists and patient feedback, as well as metrics like financial management and staff feedback.
