It happened close to the High Street junction in Church Lane, Gorleston, at around 2.25pm on bank holiday Monday.

The road was closed while emergency services attended the scene.

The pedestrian, a man, was taken to the James Paget Hospital with serious injuries.

A spokeswoman for Norfolk Constabulary confirmed the road reopened at around 4pm.
