The loads, which will be carrying transformers, will weigh more than 639 tonnes each.

They will travel from Associated British Ports at King’s Lynn Docks to the Norfolk Vanguard West energy site near Necton on Sunday, April 12, and Sunday, April 19.

Both will leave the starting destination at 9am.

They will use local roads, Crossbank Road, John Kennedy Road, the A1078, Grimston Road, Queen Elizabeth Way, Constitution Hill and the A47.

Police have advised that the moves will take around four hours and that some street furniture, such as signs or streetlights, may need to be temporarily removed and replaced to allow the convoy to pass safely.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for journeys during these times.
