Plans have been approved by South Norfolk Council for the pizza chain to open a branch in The Street, Long Stratton.

The company is rapidly expanding across the county and has just opened a new store in Mere Street, Diss.

The Long Stratton takeaway will open in the Ice House Precinct unit previously occupied by Bekays DIY and Hardware, which operated in the town for more than 30 years before its closure.

The business shut down after a fire caused extensive damage to the building in 2022.

Domino's has combined the former hardware store with a vacant unit in order to make room for the new takeaway, which will be open from 11am until 11pm, seven days a week.

The company is awaiting permission from South Norfolk Council to erect its new signage on the outside of the building, which has shared parking space for customers.

An opening date has not been confirmed.
