Among those affected are people in Happisburgh registered at Stalham Green Surgery, including one woman who has been with the practice for more than half a century.

Carol Cox, 73, received a letter on Tuesday, November 11, informing her that her name - as well as her husband Cedric's - will be removed from the list on December 4.

She said: “I’m shocked. It feels like a betrayal.
