Police were called to the streets of Caister amid tensions between locals who have hung national flags to streetlamps and a group of masked men apparently intent on taking them down.

The group were seen walking through the village on Monday night with a large stick, apparently for removing banners which have been put up around the area, including in Yarmouth Road and the High Street.

In video footage of the incident, they are challenged by an angry local who says he lives in the street with his children.
