When was the last time you found money just lying on the ground? I’m not talking about 20¢, which isn’t worth the effort of picking up, or, say, $100, which starts to push the limits of “maybe I should try and find the owner” (plus, who’s carrying around one of those in their wallet? It’s a cost of living crisis!).
I’m talking about a crisp $20, the perfect amount – not so much you feel guilty, not too little to be inconsequential. Twenty bucks can get you a pint and change, or two banh mis, or, like, half a box of laundry detergent. The possibilities are endless!
Anyway, what was I saying? Oh yeah, imagine if instead of having to go scrounging around the streets for that $20, it was instead deposited straight to your bank account? And what about if it was a lot more than $20?
