Not only are the folks behind a brunchtime comedy show at an accessible venue considering a different audience, they’re combining it with double-digit cereal options to dig into.

Patent 5 Distillery celebrated its fifth anniversary on April 1 with the first release of its anniversary series, a whisky aged in white oak barrels and finished in a sherry cask.

For First Fridays in the Exchange, they’re setting up a speakeasy in the back room of the former livery stable at 108 Alexander Avenue, offering a few bottles, single pours, and whisky cocktails from the era.

Combine it, should you wish, with a visit to the Manitoba Museum, where the First Friday free general admission includes a 1920s theme with images of Winnipeg’s jazz history and performances from the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra.
