New Delhi: The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and other organisations alleged on Thursday (October 8) that people planning to join the October 10 protest in Delhi were being detained in different parts of the country.
“This government has crossed all limits now. A group of students from Pune was on its way to Delhi to join the October 10 protest. They have been detained midway and are now being taken away in a bus to an unknown location Where are they being taken? Who ordered this?” the CJP stated.
The outfit has also circulated a video that purportedly shows a group of young people inside a moving bus in Madhya Pradesh. In the video, one of them can be heard saying that the Madhya Pradesh police had detained them. The video could not be independently verified.
“Detaining, arresting and beating people for a protest that hasn’t even begun yet? The chaos this government has unleashed will shake the very thrones it sits on, sooner than they think,” the CJP said.
CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka said Deepak Baliyan, the party’s national co-in-charge, had been detained in Rajasthan. Baliyan, a former Bharatiya Kisan Union leader and a close aide of Ranka, was reportedly picked up from his village, Kathumar, in Alwar on Thursday.
Ranka and CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke claimed that Baliyan and his brother were also assaulted by the Rajasthan Police.
Inspite of being caught live, @deepakbaliyan90 was dragged after this, his brother was beaten up badly. Deepak was recovering from a leg fracture, and his father has informed that the police badly smashed his leg. All Cockroaches of Rajasthan, reach Kathumar PS immediately. — Ashutosh Ranka (@AshutoshRanka) October 8,........
