New Delhi: The Delhi police on Friday (October 9) denied permission to the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to hold its planned protest on Saturday (October 10) against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar.

“On October 7, 2026, an application from Saurabh Das, Co-Convenor of the Cockroach Janata Party, was received in the New Delhi District. As per the application, an intimation was given regarding a protest to be held at Jantar Mantar on October 10 concerning the accountability of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC). Upon processing this intimation, it was found that the notice was received at very short notice,” said Joint commissioner of police Nupur Prasad in a press conference on Friday, reported Press Trust of India.
