Far-right political figure Milo Yiannopoulos has been deported to the United Kingdom after his detention in Louisiana earlier this week, according to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). 

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody apprehended the British native on Thursday evening at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) in Kenner, La., after DHS officials said he chose to “overstay his welcome” in the United States.

Yiannopoulos — who previously worked on the 2024 presidential campaign for the rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West — was in Louisiana for the artist’s scheduled concert.
