Trump set to return to Washington Hilton for first time since correspondents dinner shooting

President Trump will return to the Washington Hilton on Friday for the first time since the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner shooting earlier this year. 

Trump will address the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s annual Road to Majority Conference at the hotel.

The venue was the site of the third alleged assassination attempt against the president. The president was quickly escorted out of the ballroom when a man carrying a gun attempted to breach the doors. 

Critics argued that the Hilton’s status as a working hotel could have made it easier for the alleged shooter, who was staying at the hotel, to storm security.
