Just Bring Back The ‘Skins: Commanders Fail All Of America After Walking On Eggshells With New Uniforms

It’s a good try, Washington, but not good enough.

The Washington Commanders unveiled new uniforms Wednesday, attempting to bring their fans a blast from the past, or as they put it, a look that “fuses the franchise’s storied past with a bold, modern identity,” according to a press release from the franchise, per NFL.com.

The Commanders are trying to go back to a more traditional look, and that’s with each their jerseys, pants and helmets, having a look similar to the one they had since 1979. Those uniforms were a part of three Super Bowl titles and four NFC championships. Washington has also made the move to return their spear, which hasn’t been used by the organization since 2003.

Also a part of the Commanders’ switch-up are their all-black “Hail Raiser” alternate uniforms, which is where the spear will make an appearance going through the franchise’s “W” logo.

If you’re going to go this far, you might as well just bring back the Washington Redskins in full force, this straight up tease is nothing more than a failure to the entirety of the United States.

It’s not just about the brand, it’s about bringing back American history, restoring part of the glory days of this beautiful nation of ours.

It’s almost like the franchise wants to do it, but is too scared to, but why be scared?

Just bring back the Redskins, Washington, and let’s continue to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
