Could We Be Witnessing The Beginning Of The End For LIV Golf?

LIV Golf might not be a thing soon.

As I sit here and ride out my RBC Heritage bets, and my status in my fantasy golf league, all of it based on the PGA, I still can’t help but to ponder the future of LIV Golf. And the entire golf world is in the same boat. And that’s because of several media outlets reporting that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is possibly nixing their investing into the tour.

With that being said, a source that has knowledge of the operations surrounding LIV Golf spoke to Yahoo Sports and claimed that “LIV Golf funding and operations continue as scheduled.”

Yahoo Sports also obtained an email that was sent out by LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil to the tour’s staff that appeared to be positive.

“I want to be crystal clear: Our season continues exactly as planned, uninterrupted and at full throttle. While the media landscape is often filled with speculation, our reality is defined by the work we do on the grass. We are heading into the heart of our 2026 schedule with the full energy of an organization that is bigger, louder, and more influential than ever before. “The life of a startup movement is often defined by these moments of pressure. We signed up for this because we believe in disrupting the status quo. The email closed out with, “Let’s go out and show the world why LIV Golf is the future of the game. It matters. You mattered,” per Yahoo Sports.

MATTERED? … What does he mean “you MATTERED“?  … Are we witnessing the beginning of the end for LIV Golf, or not?

Only time will tell, but needless to say, this whole situation has the potential to shake up the entire sport of golf.
