My View: A book about Jesus offers some disturbing food for thought
I recently read a compelling book, "Jesus Wept," by Philip Shenon. The book offers a detailed analysis of what has transpired at the highest levels of the Catholic Church from the 1950s until the present. As the book's title suggests, the author feels that Jesus of Nazareth, the founder of the Catholic Church, would be displeased with much of what he would find in his church if he were to live in our midst today.
Michael Scully thinks a recently published book about Jesus would resonate with Catholics and others.
