Cava's same-store sales surged and the stock popped on a strong earnings beat

The Mediterranean fast-casual chain also said sales are rebounding after a cyclospora outbreak briefly dented results

Cava Group reported second-quarter net income of $23 million, or 19 cents a share, as same-restaurant sales rose 9% and guest traffic climbed 5.3% compared with the same period a year earlier.

Revenue for the quarter ended July 12 reached $365.4 million, a 31.3% increase over the prior year quarter. Same-store sales growth of 9% topped analyst projections for........
