Cats Hattie and Ester are 13 years old and have been in the care of PACT Animal Sanctuary since 2024.

The sisters "enjoy their home comforts and human companionship".

"Ester thrives off head scratches, gesturing a paw towards you, beckoning you in to fuss her," a spokeswoman for the charity said.

"If you do, you will be rewarded with lots of dribble."

Hattie also loves a scratch but prefers them on the chin and gives "lots of purrs" in return.

Both love being pampered and would be "happy living with a calm, cat-friendly dog and children".

Potential adopters should be aware that Hattie has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and currently takes medication for it twice daily.

"She takes her pills well hidden in her food," the spokeswoman explained.

"She will need a home with someone who is happy to administer her medication.

"PACT can continue to provide her medication and vet appointments with our vet to monitor her thyroid levels if requested."

Interest can be registered on the PACT website now.
