The figure represented the most in the city, with cameras in nearby Mile End Road and Bishop Bridge Road, in the city centre, just behind with 1,557 and 1,515 respectively.

The fastest vehicle in Colman Road was clocked at 59mph in April - 29mph over the speed limit.
City councillor Matthew Fulton-McAlister, who represents the University ward at City Hall, said he was "not surprised" by the news, and called for greater measures to tackle speeding in the area.
"Speeding drivers along Colman Road is too common an occurrence," he added.
"With two primary schools along Colman Road we need further safety measures introduced by Norfolk County Council to ensure that children are not put at risk getting to and from school."

The data was provided by Norfolk Constabulary and shows figures from October 10, 2022, to October 10, 2023.
Colman Road is one of Norwich's busiest routes - with drivers often using the road when commuting in and out of the city.

A police spokesman confirmed high numbers were "likely due to the sheer volume of traffic" on the outer ring road.
"The constabulary does not receive any funding directly from the fines," they said.

"I would add that since the camera was installed in 2017 injury collisions have reduced by 45pc which was the focus of the intervention."
The year prior, the camera in Bishop Bridge Road came out on top - snapping an incredible 2,205 motorists between October 2021 and October 2022.
Colman Road came in second with 1,817 and Mile End Road followed close behind by 1,704.
The minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and three penalty points added to the driver's licence unless the option for a speed awareness course is offered.
Money collected goes towards the government's Consolidated Fund for general expenditure.
If all 1,762 drivers caught by the Colman Road camera paid the £100 fine this would total £176,200.
