Heath House in Gertrude Road, which has been vacant since 2022, has been subject to several failed attempts to transform it into homes.

The latest application would see the building converted into one dwelling.

Dan Trivedi, from Trivedi Property Developments, has previously sought to turn Heath House into a nine-bed HMO, which was withdrawn following backlash from locals, and short-term accommodation for city workers, which was refused by Norwich City Council.

His most recent attempt to turn the building into three self-contained apartments, submitted in November, is still awaiting a decision.

The pub, which is close to Mousehold Heath, dates back to 1936. Planning documents submitted to the council state that the new proposals would "make the most efficient use of a redundant building" and provide "essential accommodation to the area".

Norwich City Council will make a decision on the application in due course.
