Anonymous donor helps save Norfolk ancient site with mysterious past

Moot Hill in Wymondham has uncertain origins. It may be a Norman ringwork linked to prominent Norfolk nobles the D'Albini family, or it could contain remains of an Iron Age settlement dating back more than 2,000 years.

But what is known is that the site, near Kett's Park, has been shut to the public for years - closed off because of safety concerns and damage caused by unchecked tree growth.
