From Okhla to Badarpur: 5 Delhi seats that lost over 40% of their 2025 electorate
The draft roll as part of the Special Intensive Revision exercise is out for Delhi. Of 1,45,10,299 electors, 47,56,722 are currently out – nearly one in every three persons excluded.
Seven of Delhi’s 70 constituencies recorded more than 1 lakh deletions each. In descending order in terms of sheer numbers, these are Burari, Okhla, Badarpur, Vikaspuri, Matiala, Rithala, and Karawal Nagar.
In terms of deletions compared to the size of the electorate, five constituencies had more than 40 percent of their 2025 electorate missing from the draft roll. These were Tughlakabad, Okhla, R.K. Puram, Jangpura and Badarpur. Of these five, three were won by the AAP and two by the BJP in the 2025 Delhi assembly election.

Tughlakabad saw the highest deletion rate. Of the 2,04,867 electors registered during the 2025 election, 92,033 are missing from the draft roll – nearly one in two voters.
Though these numbers are not final as the final list will only be published on November 4 – after the claims and objections round concludes on September 30 and the notice period finishes on October 29.
