Delhi in grip of severe coldwave as mercury dips to 2.9 degree celsius, IMD issues yellow alert
New Delhi: As the severe coldwave gripped the national capital and its adjoining areas, Delhi on Sunday experienced the coldest day of the season, with the temperature dipping to 3 degree celsius in some areas. Issuing a yellow alert, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning of similar weather conditions for next two days.
Issuing a forecast, the IMD said that coldwave conditions are expected to continue with minimum weather conditions on Monday is expected to be between 3-5 degree celsius, while the maximum temperature is likely to be between 17-19 degree celsius.
