New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh launched the Delhi Model for Healthy Liver at the 16th Foundation Day celebrations of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), marking a significant milestone in the capital’s public health response to the growing burden of liver disease. The Foundation Day programme was held at the ILBS campus in the presence of senior government officials, academic leaders, clinicians, students, and staff of the institute.
The launch of the Delhi Model formed the centrepiece of the Foundation Day celebrations, which also witnessed the unveiling of several patient-focused and system-strengthening initiatives. The event reflected ILBS’s evolution over sixteen years as a national and global leader in liver disease care, prevention, education, and research.
Addressing the gathering, Shri Pankaj Kumar Singh lauded ILBS for its sustained contribution to healthcare in Delhi and beyond. He stated that ILBS had consistently set new benchmarks in clinical excellence, research, and public engagement. He assured the institute of the full and unwavering support of the Delhi Government, and publicly affirmed that all requirements articulated by Dr. S.K. Sarin during his Annual Report address would be fully supported and facilitated.
